Senior Project Manager (construction)
Your new role
You will work as part of a small team dedicated to the delivery of new build projects across the UK and Europe working alongside two Project Managers, reporting into the Director of Project Management.
You will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, covering all RIBA stages of construction when necessary, liaising with clients and architects during the initial conception, design and planning of projects, as well as coordinating with contractors/subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders throughout the construction process.
You will be on hand overseeing final sign off and snagging on projects, and will be required to monitor progress & budgets throughout the build by chairing regular meetings to assess this.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will need previous construction based project management experience and have knowledge of the construction process from ground-works up. You will need to be proficient in MS office, in particular MS Project and Excel. You will need to be highly organised and an exceptional communicator as this will be essential to the smooth running of the projects.
Experience in leading a team or supporting more junior members of the department is essential for you to effectively carry out your role as a senior member of staff, and manage teams of professionals throughout projects.
A construction related degree is ideal for the role, and a background in cost consulting or Quantity Surveying is desirable but not essential.
A fully valid UK driver's license is essential, as site visits and general travel will be required regularly, access to a car is desirable, however a car allowance will be provided to put towards a vehicle for business use.
What you'll get in return
In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive a competitive salary bench-marked at £60,000 per annum, and will receive an annual car allowance of £6000. After 6 months of employment at the business you will benefit from a private Healthcare plan, and the business offers a Death in Service / Life assurance policy of 4 x Annual Salary.
Your role will be based on a 39 hour working week, with office opening hours of 08.30 - 17.30 Monday - Thursday, and 08.30 - 16.30 on Fridays. You will receive 25 days of annual leave per annum plus bank holidays and one additional day off for your Birthday.
You will get the opportunity to travel into Europe, with projects currently ongoing in Scotland and Germany, and more in the pipeline for the future.
You will also be auto-enrolled onto the company pension scheme with statutory employer and employee contributions.
