Project Manager Assistant

Your new company

This Established Contractors has been established since the late 1970's. It is a family run business that undertake residential and commercial refurbishment, conversions and external decorations on behalf of clients that they have had long standing relationships with.

Most of their work comes from architects, surveyors and land owners in Central London.

Your new role

This is a varied predominately office based role, focused on the organisation and smooth running of the company. There will be some on site duties so a CSCS card would be an advantage. The main duties revolve tightly around the construction industry and relevant peers, experience within this industry is essential. The role is an end to end position from sales/tender through to snagging and completion. The role will revolve around the pipeline of live jobs and ensuring the smooth running and organisation around all aspects of each individual job. This will involve a high level of multi-tasking and the ability to work under pressure.

Strong administration skills are required as you will be required to prepare official paperwork; Risk Assessments and O&M Manuals.

Day to day duties will be, but not limited to:

  • Data entry and filing of invoices
  • Contract Tender Administration
  • Daily reporting and management of subcontractors and internal staff
  • Escalating issues to management so that corrective action can be taken
  • Preparing and distributing site paperwork
  • Managing planning process for the company dealing with Local Authorities

The financial performance of your projects is paramount and overseeing this will mean working effectively with your peers.
Working in conjunction and communication with Quantity Surveyors, Site Managers and Sub Contractors to name a few are key, these skills must be apparent from the outset to maintain contact and develop relationships.
Health & Safety, policies and Procedures, both internally and externally are to be adhered to at all times.
Meeting contractual agreements and maintaining client and stakeholder relationships in a positive and enthusiastic manager are key.

What you'll need to succeed

- Experience in Project Management is a must
- Experience in Office Management, PA desirable
- Computer Literate - Microsoft and Project Management Software
- Ability to communicate effectively and self motivate is a MUST
