Your new company
Hays Property & Surveying have partnered with our client, an NHS Trust, in search of a Senior Capital Project Manager for a three month rolling contract.. The Trust is a major provider of a variety of inpatient and outpatient services and operates across multiple sites.

Your new role
As the Senior Capital Project Manager, you will be required to manage multiple, high value (up to £20m) capital building projects on behalf of the Trust and making sure that they are delivered on time, on budget (managing the budget yourself for each project) and on spec. This includes management of the full project life cycle from brief, preparing budget costing, submission of bids, tendering, procurement as well as contract and construction management. Projects will include refurbishments, redevelopments, fit outs and new builds.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate in this competition, you will have a Bachelor or Master's degree in construction related discipline, or equivalent related construction experience, you will be registered through a professional institution such as RICS, CIOB, RIBA or equivalent and possess a recognised Project Management Qualification. You will also have experience of managing multiple high value construction or refurbishment projects, ideally within an NHS Healthcare environment or similar. Finally, you will have experience in the management of consultants and professional teams to support the delivery of your projects, while working effectively across varied departments and engaging with a wide array of different stakeholders.

What you'll get in return
In exchange for your hard work, you will be paid an hourly rate as well as a High Cost Area Supplement. You are also entitled to a 37.5 hour work week, NHS standard holiday allowance and the opportunity to work with a high performing team.
