The Works Manager is a key role within the Works Department at St Paul’s Cathedral, assisting the head of department, the Clerk of the Works, in the creation and delivery of the annual maintenance programme of works for the Cathedral and its associated buildings, as well as deputising in their absence. The role holder will assist in overseeing the day to day running of the works and maintenance at the Cathedral as well as getting involved with new and ongoing project work.
We are seeking an individual with a construction trade background and Construction Site Manager experience. You will have strong IT skills with demonstrable experience of using AutoCAD software, along with a working knowledge of health and safety issues in relation to building maintenance work. The ability to manage mid-range projects is essential, whilst an understanding or experience of working within a heritage building would be desirable.
