Your new role
Your new role as a manual grinder is to effectively operate surface, cylindrical and bore grinders to a high standard. Your role will include a variety in workload and will be expected to work to customer specifications.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be able to work from engineering drawings. In order to succeed you must be fully conversant with the operation of a manual grinders including the use of cylindrical, surface and bore grinding and have a completed apprenticeship in mechanical engineering. You must be able to manufacture one offs and small to medium size batch work.
What you'll get in return
In return you will get a very competitive salary starting on 13.50 p/h moving towards 15/ph after 12 weeks dependant on experience. You will also receive plenty of opportunities for overtime paying times and a half for weekdays overtime and Saturday and double pay on Sunday. The hours of work are 07:00 - 15:30 Monday - Friday with plenty of opportunities to work overtime after 15:30. You will also get to work in excellent conditions and be taken on a permanent basis after a 12 week probation period.
