Your new company is a large University based in Birmingham. You will work as a part of a large on-site maintenance team responsible for reactive and planned maintenance across a large campus.
Your new role
Your new role as a Mechanical Fitter will require you to diagnose and repair faults in plumbing and engineering installations, plant and equipment and undertake planned preventative maintenance tasks within agreed timescales and
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this new role you will need:
- City & Guilds certificates (or approved equivalent) typically (but not exclusively):
- Course 205 - Mechanical Engineering Maintenance Part II
- Course 596 - Plumbing Advanced Craft Certificates in both (i) Sanitary Plumbing and (ii) Installation and Maintenance of Domestic Heating Systems and Appliance or
- Course 596 - Plumbing and Craft Certificate together with Course 599 - Construction Services Welding Advanced Craft
You will also need a valid, clean driving license and demonstrable experience as a qualified Mechanical Fitter (or similar role).
