Gravesham Borough Council
About Gravesham Borough Council
The Borough of Gravesham in the north west corner of Kent, covers 25,000 acres of the most varied countryside in south east England. Bordered by the River Thames to the north, it is at the heart of Thames Gateway and has a significant role to play in the regeneration of a major government growth area.
Gravesham Borough Council is a great place to work and struck gold in 2012 after achieving the highest accolade awarded by the UK’s leading people management standard Investors in People. To reach IIP gold status, Gravesham Borough Council underwent a rigorous assessment by Investors in People and showed exceptional working practices in areas such as people management; leadership; staff involvement and empowerment; work/life balance and health and well-being of staff. The Investors in People gold award has been achieved by just 1% of UK organisations who are believed to be operating at the very highest levels of people management practice.
