Your new role:
This is a well know and growing organisation striving for commercial excellence. They are changing the way they work which especially enables you as a Senior Commercial Manager (Head of Commercial Modelling) to strategically lead and shape changes to the commercial models used in the delivery of their significant investment programme.

Reporting to the Commercial Services Director the role will see you designing and implementing robust commercial models, ensuring business needs are converted into practical commercial models. Following implementation you will then lead the delivery of the models to support the commercial and procurement strategy set out in each of the procurement programmes in the Statement of Need. Utilising your influencing skills you will collaborate with all Commercial Delivery Directors and Senior Responsible Owners to define the commercial models, ensure all programmes are informed and understand what their commercial models should be.

As the Head of Commercial Modelling you will also strategically lead a high performing team of 7 commercial professionals to define the overarching Commercial Modelling approach embedded throughout the organisations delivery programmes.

Key aspects of the role:
Designing and implementing commercial models that align to the commercial interests and with the corporate goals and objectives.
Leading the delivery of commercial models in a consistent and high quality approach to support the commercial and procurement strategy, set out in each of the procurement programmes in the Statement of Need.
Managing the team to deliver challenging targets.
Leading the planning and implementing of commercial modelling as part of the overall procurement strategy and encourage innovation, empowering and inspiring continuous improvement.
Analysing, and providing management information and reports to identify trends and address issues proactively. Coach and support programme and project managers/sponsors and their teams on the application and interpretation of the commercial models.

What you need:
You will be professionally qualified: RICS, CInstCES or equivalent
You will have significant and demonstrable experience of leading and managing commercial teams including matrix management at a senior level
You will have significant knowledge of many forms of contract although NEC forms of contract is the most desirable.
You will have the capability to assemble, lead and motivate a diverse, inclusive, high performing team
You will have the capacity to absorb complex and diverse information and use strong practical influencing skills, both internally and externally to optimise the commercial programme interests.
