Summary

Egan Lucocq Ltd is a bespoke Quantity Surveying and Project Management Practice that is run by two Directors – Jon Lucocq and Eoin Egan. Jon is a Chartered RICS Qualified Quantity Surveyor and Eoin is a Chartered RIBA Architect. Our unique combination of multi-disciplinary backgrounds and experience provides our clients with a comprehensive service. We also focus on providing the professional and contracting team a dynamic and positive approach to project delivery.

We are looking to recruit an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join the expanding team to help the company deliver the exciting projects we have secured. The successful applicant will help grow the business and in turn will have the opportunity to thrive and develop.

Salary

£50k to £70k subject to experience plus performance bonuses.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Preparation of project cost plans
  • Providing input during the design phase
  • Continual checking against the project cost plan and providing regular updates
  • Preparation of Pre-tender estimates
  • Preparation of tender documentation
  • Managing the tender process
  • Conducting thorough tender analysis and preparation of tender reports
  • Finalising and collating construction contract documentation.
  • Attendance at regular project meetings to monitor costs.
  • Undertaking valuations as required under a building contract, including payment recommendations.
  • Negotiating and management of variations.
  • Preparation of final accounts
  • Administration of JCT contracts
  • Reporting and presentations to the client
  • Managing the communication between consultants and the contractor
  • Management of the budget
  • Networking and business development
  • Development and support of junior staff.

Qualifications / Skill Set / Experience / Knowledge

  • MRICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience acting as a Project Quantity Surveyor
  • Confident people management skills
  • Good organisational skills & good time management
  • Working collaboratively in a team
  • Self-motivation
  • Understanding of contract legislation and professional liability essential
