Assistant / APC Building Surveyor

Hays Property and Surveying are seeking an Assistant / APC Building Surveyor to join the Southampton based team of a leading Construction Consultancy who operate across the Public and Private Sector.

The Southampton Building Consultancy and Project Management team are currently going through a period of significant growth. As a result they are looking to add a number of new talented individuals across the team to service the large volumes of work currently being secured.

Your new role
Working alongside a team of Building Surveying professionals, you will responsible for providing a range of professional and project services to a portfolio of clients from within the Public and Private Sector. Typical clients will include commercial occupiers, corporate businesses, universities, local authorities, schools and government bodies.

Depending on your level and experience, responsibilities will include;

• Undertaking condition surveys, inspections, schedules of work, building surveys and dilapidation reports
• Undertaking the Design and Specification, including CAD drawings, for projects and minor works
• Project Management including site meetings, progress reports and contract administration
• Providing general Building Consultancy advice to a range of clients

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed within the role, you will hold proven experience of undertaking a range of project and professional based Building Surveying services at a Graduate or Assistant level. Candidates at higher levels will also be considered, with the role and remuneration relevant to your experience.

You will also hold a relevant Building Surveying degree, and desirably, working towards completing your APC diary. Alongside this, you will be need to be a dynamic and proactive professional, with an excellent client facing manner.
