Assistant Site Manager Required

I am recruiting on behalf of an established client across Hampshire, carrying out student accommodation works on various contracts. They have the need for an assistant site manager to help drive targets forward on a project site based in Portsmouth, Hampshire. Client is looking for somebody to be part of the team in the short term, but could lead to other opportunities if successful.


Candidate will be an assistant site manager on a commercial, student accommodation site. You will need to work shift patterns on alternate weeks. First week being Mon-Friday 2pm-10pm, and then second week being 7am-2pm Mon-Thursday (meaning 3 day weekend that week). Will be needed to drive forward the project, working along side the sub contractors, assisting the site manager, having initiative to problem solve, along with high standards of health and safety and carrying out any inductions. This role is a temp/freelance position starting end of February 2019, until September/October 2019.


Must have good understanding of health and safety, inductions, assisting a site manager and driving sub contractors to ensure they are reaching deadlines for the project. You must have experience as being an assistant site manager, who takes pride in their work. Qualifications essential to the role include first aid, SMSTS and CSCS card. Knowledge on student accommodation projects is a high priority for the client, as it is coming to the crucial stages.


You will get to work with an established company continuing to grow and working on big projects, so future progression can be given if proven. You will be paid a day rate negotiable between £190-£220 a day depending on experience. You will be in work for at least 7-8 months giving the security of work for a longer period of time.
