Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Central London - £42,000 + package


We are working with the London business of a top 5 National Developer. They have a multi-phase residential scheme circa £170M due to run through 2022. The project is a large high end development with mixed use, apartments and housing. You will be joining an established and growing project team. You will be familiar with and focused on subcontract procurement in the initial stages but your role will grow and develop with the project into a Project QS.
Your role entails:

• Preparing tenders and procuring sub-contractors.
• Evaluating and agreeing variations and instructions.
• Using a payments system for the payment of sub-contractors and the supply of goods and materials.

• Management of Sub-Contract accounts through to completion including valuations, payments, variations, forecast final accounts and contractual correspondence.
• Submission of interim applications for payment on time.
• Supporting production of monthly cost reports on time, in conjunction with Project Managers - ensure that the true position is reported at all times.
• Assisting with costing and preparation of budgets for each aspect of site development.
• Assisting with analysing and reporting on costs and cash flow vs budget
• Attend regular meetings with Key stakeholders client to ensure account agreement is progressed.

You will have:

• A Degree (or equivalent)
• 2 or more years PQE
• Previous relevant experience in residential construction, to include subcontract procurement, tender, RFI's.
