Principal Planner

This role will offer you the chance to work on a challenging caseload of large-scale residential, mixed-use and commercial schemes. This role will require you being a key part of a small team focused on major and strategic applications.

In addition to processing these applications, you will also be required to:

• Build a good relationship with major developers, architects and external consultants through paid pre-application meetings.
• Attend site visits
• Draft detailed delegated reports and present at committee

This Council have reiterated they are open to looking at home working and compressed hours should the contractor look to work on this basis.

Successful candidates will have acquired practical experience as a Senior/ Principal Planning Officer at a UK planning authority.

In addition, you will have a thorough knowledge of Town Planning legislation and Development Management procedures.
