Safe House and Family Support Services Manager needed for a 3 month temporary to permanent role in Bristol

Your new company

You will be working with a local supported housing provider who provides forward-thinking, person recovery based support to service users with complex backgrounds including homelessness, domestic violence, mental health and substance abuse. This is a brilliant organisation who puts their service users at the fore-front of their service, offering excellent staff training and housing support.

Your new role

You will be working as a safe house and family support service manager in Bristol for a 3 month temporary role with a potential to go permanent if you were successful within the role. As a safe house and family support service manager you will take a lead role within the service, supporting service users and their families who have experienced domestic violence and abuse. This post will hold responsibility for the safe house provision including the services delivered by the Family Support Workers. As a manager you will collaborate with other managers within the service to maximise the achievement of the teams and wider organisational objectives and standards, promoting effective communication and teamwork. As a manager you will manage support workers and team leaders, promoting best practices including people-focused support plans. As a manager you will champion recovery oriented and psychologically informed practice and Ensure the team's work with clients is recovery focused, and strengths based. As a manager you will enabling clients to maximise their choice and control over the support they receive to promote their independence and well being, sustain their accommodation and help build positive futures.

What you'll need to succeed

To be a successful manager you must have working experience in supported housing and be able to support service users with complex needs with preferable experience in working with domestic violence. It is essential you have working experience in management, being able to manage supported housing professionals including support workers and team leaders.
