Well Established Edinburgh based contractor seeking experienced site manager to join their business.

Our client are a well established contractor based in Edinburgh who have a solid track record in delivery across complex and interesting building projects from high end residential houses to heritage refurbishments and additions. Our client operate in all sectors of the market and have developed deep relationships with their client base over their long history. The new year is looking great from a project workload perspective and they are seeking the services of an experienced construction site manager to join their business on a permanent basis.


Your new role
As construction site manager you will be responsible for all operations onsite from setting subcontractors up onsite to managing safety and organising deliveries. You will be an excellent communicator who can motivate and engage your team of specialist labour and subcontractors to deliver a superior product to your client. Reporting to the contracts manager you will play a key role in the successful delivery of the project from both an operational and commercial perspective.


What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be from a small to medium construction background who embraces running their own suit and is comfortable managing all aspects of their project. You will get support from your contracts manager and QS but you will fully responsible for all aspects of site management. You must be independently minded who enjoys working autonomously and is confident in their construction knowledge. The successful candidate will be from a joinery background with SMSTS and first aid qualifications complete. A background in managing high end residential projects or working on historic Scotland projects will be highly regarded.
