An estimator job in Lancashire paying £40k + package for a civil engineering contractor.
Your new company
You will join an established civil engineering contractor who operate nationally on groundwork packages. You will join a thriving business who has built excellent relationships with major blue chip contractors and are continually developing their business. They are strengthening their commercial team by appointing an additional estimator.
Your new role
You will report to a Senior Estimator and you will be responsible for preparing budget/cost estimates, take offs, tenders and bid proposals for various types of commercial jobs. You will build effective relationships with team members, internal and external customers, suppliers, and subcontractors. This is an office based role with site visits when required.
What you'll need to succeed
The contractor I am working with is open to the level of experience of the candidate due to the current demand in the market. They would consider an Assistant Estimator OR a more experienced Estimator. You will have the ability to read and understand construction specifications and drawings. You will have strong attention to detail, analytical, organisational and problem solving skills. You will also have strong commercial awareness and commitment to achieving deadlines. A civils background would be preferred however they will consider general construction.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a salary of £30,000 - £55,000 + package (dependant on experience). T his is an excellent opportunity to experience 'front end' estimating working within a small team on a vast array of projects and clients.
