North London Borders
Up to c. £55, 000 Negotiable + Bens
Our client is a very successful privately owned firm on the North London borders.
They have been established for c. 20 years.
Their clients vary and include: - property managers, insurance companies, private householders,
housing associations, solicitors, etc.
The Main Partner/Director is very much looking for a Senior Building Surveyor, to provide support in growing the Practice.
Our client is willing to consider either a Chartered Surveyor MRICS, or an MCIOB Qualified Surveyor, or similar.
Candidates must have a relevant professional qualification and be heavily involved in a broad range of building surveying work, particularly contract administration and site-based work.
A general practice surveyor or QS will probably not be appropriate for this role.
The client-focussed aspect is imperative, and ability to run projects and deliver them to a high standard.
The successful candidate will be a good 'all-rounder' and well able to use their own initiative.
Our client is ideally looking for someone to effectively become their deputy over time, i.e. their 'Number 2'.
They appreciate that this may not be possible initially, dependent upon the candidate, but candidates will be considered who could grow into this role - appreciating at whatever level, there would be the requirement to become familiar with the Practice and its procedures.
So, whilst a high proportion of the work would have to be fee-earning and fee-generation surveying,
some time would be allowed for marketing and exploring new areas of business.
One of the advantages of this practice is that staff can have a good work/life balance and not expected to work excessive hours as compared with more centrally based larger practices.
There is ample scope for the successful candidate to play an important part in moulding and shaping the future of this expanding practice.
