The University of Leicester is seeking to make the appointment of up a Project Manager to play a key role in the delivery of the University’s capital investment programme.

The University has embarked upon a challenging and very exciting Campus Masterplan aligned to delivering the Physical Environment Strategy over the next 5-10 years. The first phase amounting to an initial £65m investment and the second phase and major part of the Capital Programme will then follow from 2020 with a total investment of circa £500m.
As a Project Manager for the Projects and Planning department within Estates and Campus Services, you will apply high-quality, client- focussed project management skills to a range of complex capital projects that emanate from the Capital Investment Programme ensuring schemes are briefed, designed, developed, delivered and governed within strict budgetary and programme constraints, fully satisfying University requirements.
Successful candidates will have gained demonstrable experience of managing complex refurbishment and new-build projects in a client side or client’s consultant role, with a track record gained on projects up to and in excess of £10m in value. Strong technical skills honed in the construction and property industry are essential as it is expected that candidates will be adept at leading and managing all stages of the project lifecycle from brief development and design through to procurement and construction delivery.
