Team Leader needed for helpline and crisis team in Bristol working for a supported housing provider

Your new company

You will be working for a supported housing advisor who supports service users with a background in mental health and domestic violence. This is a brilliant organisation who helps and develops the local community, promoting independence.

Your new role

As a team leader you will be working in the crisis helpline team, providing management and support to vulnerable service users who call up with domestic violence reports. Within this management post will take a lead role within the domestic violence services, supporting women and children experiencing or who have experienced domestic violence and abuse. You will be working on a full time basis with the opportunity to go permanent after 16 weeks. As a team leader you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Duty Helpline and Crisis Response Service taking direct responsibility for the leadership, operational and performance management. As a team leader you will recognise, respect and address the needs of service-users who face particular barriers when seeking help to access the service, including those from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBT communities, disabled people, women with complex needs and other hard to reach groups.

What you'll need to succeed

To be a successful team leader previous experience in staff management is essential. You must have working knowledge with domestic violence and be able to support and encourage service users with challenging and vulnerable backgrounds. To be successful experience in call centre/telephone handling would be desirable and you must be able to hit the ground running when it comes to leading a team.
