Building Surveyor, Social Housing, South Wales, £22 per hour, Immediate Start.

Your new team is a multidisciplinary asset management team who manage and maintain a portfolio of social housing properties in the local area.
Your new role
Your new role will be as a Building Surveyor, carrying out surveys of residential properties to evaluate specific components for renewal or to assess condition for future inspection.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a building surveyor with experience of evaluating WHQS components both internally e.g. kitchens and bathrooms and externally e.g. roofing, wall finishes, paths and fencing and rating them against life-cycle data.
Experience of identifying building technology faults and limitations especially around the cause and eradication of damp within properties. Working knowledge of external wall insulation systems and their installation.
Excellent planning and analytical skills to be able to plan own daily work schedule, arranging appointments and checking all key data e.g. joint visit properties etc.
Experience of supervision of contractors on site and the ability to ensure that work is undertaken to the correct quality standards.
Experience of contract administration in the preparation of JCT contracts would be very advantageous as well as experience of working in a social housing environment with excellent customer care skills.
Must have strong IT skills including Microsoft Office package.
You will also need access to a vehicle and a full driving license.
