Senior Mechanical Engineer
Senior Mechanical Engineer wanted for immediate start. London office and site based role. Salary £50-£65k.

You will be working for a well established, highly respected, leading London based M&E contractor. The company has a turnover of £200m+ and was established over 30 years ago. The company works on a range of well known projects throughout the UK. They genuinely value their employees and as such have a low turnover of staff, especially for a company this size.
Your new role
You will be the Senior Mechanical Engineer on a new build residential project with an M&E value over £20M. You will be base in the office for the 6 months helping the project manager with the pre-construction phase including procurement working in a similar capacity to a Package/Area Manager. You will be then site based in central London working as the Senior Mechanical Project Engineer on site. You will be responsible for looking after contractors, vetting designs,Rams, drawing updates and preparing technical submittals, RFI's etc and reporting to the Project Manager. This role will involve working throughout pre-construction through install to commissioning and handover.
What you'll need to succeed
You will preferably have a degree in either Building Services or Mechanical Engineering. You will have a considerable amount of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably on larger residential or commercial projects. You will have experience working on the pre-construction phase of projects and procurement not just the install phase. You will need to be technically minded and commercially aware. Although this a Mechanical Engineer role a lot of the responsibilities will be similar to that of a Project Manager. You will preferably have experience on new build projects with values over £5M.
