Site Manager Housing
Housing Site Manager - £250 per day - Berkshire - 6+ months
Due to continued growth, Hays are recruiting for a Site Manager to work with one of the UK's most successful privately owned contractors, on a large scale housing development on the outskirts of Reading. They are one of the regions most reputable, privately owned companies that have won multiple awards for the quality of the homes that they produce. As a company they value their employees, and have helped to produce NHBC award winning Site Managers, that have excelled in the industry, having been supported effectively by an experienced management team.
Your new role
You will be working on the development of apartments for first time buyers, and 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes that are ideal for families, on an existing site near central Reading. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for handing over properties to clients that are nearing completion, and working on developing plots from inception through to handover. You will be responsible for ensuring that the build process is run smoothly, and that works are completed with minimal defects. This will require you to delegate and effectively manage subcontractors on site, ensure that Health and Safety standards are adhered to.
What you'll need to succeed
Your responsibilities as Site Manager, will require you to be effective at planning, coordinating works, and managing workers on a busy site. You must therefore possess excellent communication skills and have a keen eye for detail to ensure that work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. You must have a knowledge of NHBC Standards, have previous experience of carrying out Site inductions and preferably come from a trade's background.
The following experience and certifications are essential for this role:
- 3+ years Site Management experience.
- Preferably have won an NHBC pride in the job award.
- Valid S.M.S.T.S certification.
- Valid First Aid certificate.
- 2 references from a previous employer.
