Your new company
Your new company is a constantly evolving consultancy that offers broad advice to clients on issues relating to urban, strategic and transport planning, heritage and design amongst others. Your new team consists of nearly 100 people with 35 planners based across London and other locations across the UK. The planning team is made up of 3 different teams, from which one has the opportunity to work on a variety of schemes ranging from Central London commercial and residential projects to strategic land schemes involving Greenfield and Brownfield Sites. Your new organisation provides a clear path to the Associate and Director level from assistant planner and is involved in multiple rewards schemes including team holidays.
Your new role
You will prepare planning applications as well as planning appraisals of land and buildings. Your role will involve maintaining strong relationships with clients and other planning colleagues as well as working with third party organisations in the delivery process. You will help formulate and present proposals on behalf of the company and you will make valuable recommendations to assist your new firm and clients achieve their objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a degree qualified town planner with at least a year's experience within the private or public sector and on track for successful application for chartered RTPI membership, Your will be a curious, self-starting individual who works well within a competitive yet sociable environment and is able to work well within a team. You will be confident in speaking directly with clients about on-going projects and will have a positive attitude to challenge. You will have excellent verbal and written communication as well as good IT skills to help drive success in your new role.
