Working for a National Main Contractor based in Derby. A company that boast their staff development and opportunities. Working on some large scale schemes and projects across the midlands. This is a national company so you will be giving the opportunity to work locally within the East Midlands region.
Your new role
You will be working in the heart of the commercial department, working along side Quantity Surveyors, Estimators and reporting into the Commercial Manager and Director. You will be assisting with the procurement of material and plant for Design and Build Projects. You will also be responsible for distributing materials ordered efficiently; resolving invoice queries in a timely manner ensuring, as far as possible, suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed trading terms while also ensuring the general office duties for the Commercial team are met.
What you'll need to succeed
You should possess basic knowledge of construction practice and materials commonly used in the Construction Industry while an HNC/HND in Construction or Supply Chain Management/Procurement is desirable or as a minimum, will be qualified by relevant experience.
