Managing Quantity Surveyor
Your new company
This company is a privately owned developer, working as part of a construction company building rental accommodation across the South East and Home Counties.
They construct affordable, high quality homes and rent them to private tenants, the housing stock is constructed and maintained to the highest standards, with a view to attract long term tenants and build communities. They have a specific approach to their developments, to build in or near town centre locations with excellent transport links. This means the South London and surrounding locations are ideal for their schemes, where they currently have, at various stages of completion schemes in Kent, Surrey and South London - all within the M25. They are currently on target to deliver 900 units by 2021.
The role of the Managing QS, will be to have full financial over view of 400 units, spread over 2 developments in the Croydon area, taking the developments from build stage to final accounts.
Your new role
The role of the Quantity Surveyor will be to have full financial overview of the developments, reporting in to the FD and PM on site, the main purpose of the role would include; accurately report the financial and contractual situation of the suppliers responsible for, measure and assess the work undertaken and then submit detailed, accurate and timely applications for payment including final accounts, take timely and proper action (e.g., notices) in accordance with the contract. Assist with preparation of contractual claims, contribute to the set up and review of the project risk register and financial and contractual needs of a contract are fully met in line with the required standards and time constraints as well as procurement of sub-contractors.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have proven experience within a Senior Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within a house building or developer environment, you will also need to have a HND/HNC in Surveying or equivalent but ideally a degree.

In return as the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you can expect a salary of up to £90k + benefits.
