Hays are delighted to present you with an exciting opportunity to secure a permanent NI Based Quantity Surveyor position with a growing medium sized contractor. Your new company is an ambitious and innovative Building and Civil Engineering Company which has built up an enviable reputation within the local construction industry for the delivery of bespoke, high quality projects over a wide and varied range of construction sectors. Their client base ranges from both private and public sector organisations in the North and South of Ireland. They have secured a strong pipeline of work going forward and now require a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
Your new role
Within your new role you will manage projects worth up to £6m within the Education, Community & Leisure, Healthcare and Commercial sectors. You will be responsible for providing Quantity Surveyor functions including commercial transactions, commercial reporting and cash flow management on allocation projects ensuring that at all times company policies and procedures are followed. You will work within an integral part of the business, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and working closely with the Operational Team, ensuring projects are delivered on programme and within budget. You will be predominately office based in County Tyrone, travelling to site in NI or ROI once a fortnight.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying and have at least 3 years' experience within a similar role. You will be computer literate, and will have experience of using relevant software. You will be ambitious, commercially astute, and keen to establish yourself as a Quantity Surveyor with a large main contractor who will be offering you a long-term view.
