Your new company
A main build and civils contractor based in County Tyrone are now recruiting for an Estimator. A well-established and highly regarded contractor, they are undertaking a number of exciting projects across the UK and Ireland, currently operating with a turnover of £20m. This contractor operates within the educational, residential, community and industrial sectors as well as water infrastructure, reservoirs and wastewater treatment works. Due to continued growth they wish to invest in an ambitious, experienced Estimator to join their build division.
Your new role
This is a brand new role within the company, and thus an opportunity to not only establish yourself as the sole estimator but also to establish the department within the company. You will assist in analytical cost estimates and tenders, from receipt of enquiry to tender submission on a variety of large scale build projects ranging up to £8m. You will be expected to manage projects efficiently and report price variations effectively. This is an office based role so you will not be required to travel to the UK.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be degree educated in a construction related discipline, and will have at least 5 years of previous experience in an estimating role. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of tendering and winning build projects and a strong understanding of construction processes. You will have proven experience of delivering all aspects of your role efficiently, and to a consistently high standard. A confident and outgoing personality will also be beneficial for dealing directly with clients and their design teams.
What you'll get in return
You will be employed with a highly regarded, successful construction company in Northern Ireland on a permanent basis. This main contractor puts specific emphasis on prioritising employee development, and as such can offer great opportunities for career progression. This is a brand new, permanent position that will come with a competitive package including a pension, 29days holiday, healthcare and a car allowance.
