Principal Town Planning Officer
Your new company
This organisation is responsible for one of the largest regeneration projects in London that will deliver a new urban quarter in accordance with its status as an Opportunity Area identified in the London Plan. The new development will deliver a new office quarter for London with 4 million square feet of office space that creates approximately 20,000 new jobs and 7,500 new homes.
Your new role
You will provide planning advice on a full range of planning issues associated with the development. Working with development partners and their consultant teams will be essential so you will have an understanding of the entire development process. You will be responsible for a complete group of applications associated with the development. The role will include the full range of development management skills in providing pre-application advice and appraising relevant applications associated with different aspects of the development.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a degree qualified town planner or RICS equivalent with a proven track record of dealing with a range of major and complex planning applications. A thorough knowledge and understanding of the statutory processes involved is essential. You will have excellent knowledge and understanding of planning policy and practice and good IT skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
