This independent consultancy specialises in assisting the development industry to resolve transport issues, achieve planning permissions and improve existing developments. They are currently working on a number of projects across the UK which range from the master planning of new settlements and major urban regeneration projects to smaller residential and commercial developments. On many of their projects, resolving access
and transport issues is key to unlocking the development potential and we have a track record of providing pragmatic and innovative solutions in these situations.
Your new role
This unique consultancy are currently partnered with myself in order to recruit for 2 Senior/Principal or Associate Transport Planners in order to cope with their growing success in the industry and complete new projects. Your new role (dependent on seniority) will involve both the technical aspects of transport planning including transport assessments and travel plans as well as the management side including team management, mentoring of junior staff and project leadership. It will be working with both private and public sector clients across a range of projects regarding size and type.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must have consultancy based transport planning experience and have developed the ability to capably project manage, support junior staff members within the team and liaise with both clients and other teams. Technically you must be able to prepare transport assessments, statements and travel plans in support of planning applications and EIA. You will also be able to assist in development of masterplans for large projects and new settlements. Junction modelling including Linsig, Transyt and Junctions8 would also be desirable along with the preparation of construction logistics and presentation of traffic data.
