Health and Safety Advisor job for a logistics and haulage company based in East Yorkshire paying up to £35k
Your new company
specialises in logistics and manufacturing covering a variety of industries from petro - chemical, heavy haulage and lifting operations. The business is experiencing a period of growth, hence the reason for this job becoming available. The business has a number of sites across the north of England and plans to expand further in the coming years.
Your new role
In your new job you will be expected to cover 2 sites in East Yorkshire. You will provide expert advice and guidance on all health and safety matters, ensuring full compliance to new and existing health and safety legislation and have an influence across the business to create a strong health and safety culture. You will take the lead of all health and safety risk assessments and method statements. Providing advice to site managers so they can also carry out their own RAMS. You will carry out incident and accident investigations, provide corrective and preventative actions along with identifying gaps in health and safety knowledge to develop and deliver any health and safety training when required. You will work closely with the health and safety manager to implement the behavioural safety programme, attempting to improve the health and safety culture across the two sites.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this job you must have the NEBOSH General Certificate or the NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum. An environmental or fire qualification would also be advantageous. You will have experience in either the construction, manufacturing or logistics industries - with a good working knowledge of working at height and lifting operations.
