Housing Site Manager required for prestigious, brand new development in North Devon
Your new company
We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with one of the most exciting and progressive housing developers in the South-West of England. Their aim is to produce stunning homes in sought-after locations and they are currently in an active phase of growth and development, looking to attract the South-West's best housebuilding talent in to the organisation.
Your new role
Based on site in North Devon, this is a rare opportunity to start your own project at enabling stage, oversee the installation of roads and drainage, before moving on to the building of over 20 attractive, high quality houses. Reporting to an experienced and supportive contracts manager, your daily duties will revolve around the supervision of direct staff and subcontract trades, organising materials and plant, customer liaison, chairing meetings with contractors and consultancies, leading the focus on health and safety and ultimately delivering homes to budget and within agreed timescales.
What you'll need to succeed
Our client is looking for an individual at the top of their game, with a strong track record of delivering housing developments to programme and quality expectations. You should be able to show your passion for housebuilding, as well as your commitment to developing yourself as a site professional, by demonstrating a stable employment record with recognised developers and a full list of current qualifications including CSCS, SMSTS, 1st aid and scaffold awareness. You'll need to be a flexible communicator, able to challenge subcontractors on performance one moment then switch in the blink of an eye to dealing with customers in a sympathetic, courteous manner.
What you'll get in return
A salary of up to £53k with car allowance, pension, health and discretionary bonus is available for the best candidate. Our client's focus is on quality rather than quantity, meaning you will not be subject to producing units within unrealistic timescales.
