12 month M&E Asset Specialist required for interesting fixed term contract across a large estate.

Your new company

Our client is passionate about developing long term communities and own and operate a large & diverse portfolio of buildings across the UK but mainly concentrated in the Warwickshire area. They believe that great people make a great organisation and are looking for a exceptional M&E Asset Specialist to to provide expert advice on mechanical and electrical building services equipment and work with their senior management team to ensure that it is fit for purpose.

Your new role

You will be required to provide expert, technical mechanical and electrical engineering advice to the Head of Estates.

You will be responsible for assessing a mixture of mechanical and electrical assets including commercial boilers, fire systems, electrical systems including lighting etc & mechanical services across their property portfolio.

You will look at condition of the mechanical and electrical assets, complete a technical report, advise on maintenance and forward lifecycle planning, maintenance planning, refurbishments and replacement for the senior management team

Identify M&E defects and advice if due to original construction or poor maintenance.

You will also audit the existing maintenance procedures via both internal maintenance teams and external specialist sub-contractors and ensure statutory compliance.

Advise on findings on reports, look to make any amends to processes and procedures of work

Lead on any M&E project works as a result of the findings.


What you'll need to succeed

You will be experienced at operating a senior level, and be confident to advice and negotiate and present your findings at that level.
You will have either an electrical or mechanical building services background including formal qualifications and be up to date with M&E asset surveying, life cycle costing and management of assets, report writing, management of M&E contractors, experience of maintenance and repairs and construction.
Heath and safety qualification would be desirable.
