Senior Transport Planner
Your new company
Due to an increased volume of work there is an exciting opportunity for a Highways Engineer to join a small to medium sized practice, management owned and a people orientated business located in central London.
The company are currently undertaking projects for a number of national house builders along with infrastructure improvements for enabling developments. Their involvement in projects range through conceptual, pre-planning, detailed design and construction stages.They have identified the need for a talented Senior Transport Planner to strengthen their Transport Planning team.
Your new role
Your new role will include client and council planning committee liaison and stakeholder consultation. You will be doing traffic data analysis, traffic modelling, preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans. You will also being doing the assessments and initial design of infrastructure requirements for new developments and design of preliminary schemes. There will also be aspects of designing transport and travel surveys, bid documentation preparation and commercial management of projects (being able to manage small projects to quality, cost and time.)
What you'll need to succeed
A degree in Civil Engineering or Geography would be preferable or equivalent high quality training. You will have a relevant amount of experience in transport planning to be classed as a senior standard including technical competency in Development Planning work including Transport Assessments and Statements, Junction Modelling and Preliminary Design. You would previously have experience dealing with stakeholders, knowledge of Transport Policy and any traffic modelling experience (LinSig, ARCADY and PICADY) would be useful.
