Your new role
Your new role is a great opportunity for an experienced senior / principal structural engineer with a proven track record in project delivery to join the established civil and structural building engineering team in the Bristol office. You will be expected to take a lead role on a range of mid to large scale projects for both public and private sector clients, managing engineers, graduates and technicians as required. You will be able to work well within teams, a strong communicator and develop and co-ordinate designs with clients, architects and MEP engineers. The projects that you will be working on will range from exciting new builds to refurbishments across a variety of different sectors, with values of £500K to £50M+.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have an already proven successful track record within structural engineering and will be in the process of getting chartered, if not already achieved. You will have an excellent knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques and procedures, as well as current experience of managing structural engineering design projects. Ideally, you will have a large amount of experience in Building Structures across a variety of market sectors and construction materials / methods. You will be able to act as project lead for a team of Structural Engineers and Technicians, and will be a competent user of building engineering software packages such as Tekla, SCIA, TEDDS etc.
