As Site Manager you will be working for one of the UK's most established housing contractors, who have seen great success Nationwide. They are a prominent brand within the construction industry, and have seen consistent growth within the Coventry and Warwickshire area. They pride themselves on delivering good quality affordable homes to both private and social clients, adhering to strict quality standards and stringent Health and Safety procedures. They are looking to expand their management team, due to very high demand, specifically in the Midlands.
Your new role
As Site Manager you will be responsible for an existing site in Warwickshire, comprising of 80+ 3 to 5 bedroom homes. The site comprises of a mixture of social and private housing, with values ranging from £300,000 to £580,000 and the current development in Warwickshire is due to be completed by September next year. You will be responsible for ensuring that the projects timelines are met, NHBC standards are adhered to, site inductions are completed correctly and trades and labour are delegated efficiently on site. You will be working closely with the Assistant Site Manager, and reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, in order to effectively manage the handover of homes to the company's clients.
What you'll need to succeed
Your responsibilities as Site Manager, will require you to be effective at planning, coordinating works, and managing workers on a busy site. This will require you to be proactive and possess excellent communication skills, to ensure that work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. You must have a knowledge of NHBC Standards, have previous experience of carrying out Site inductions and preferably come from a trade's background. The following experience and certifications are essential for this role:
- 4+ years Site Management experience.
- Valid S.M.S.T.S certification.
- Valid First Aid certificate.
- 2 references from a previous employer.
