Our client is a leading property and development company with a diverse portfolio across the UK. They are involved in a number of high profile joint ventures one of which is working in partnership with a borough council on a substantial regeneration scheme. This scheme will provide a large number of new homes; including affordable housing, will create new business and work opportunities, will create green open spaces, much improved hospital facilities, infrastructure and local community facilities.
Having successfully delivered on the initial phases, our client is now recruiting to bolster their development team.
Macdonald and Company is excited to be working exclusively for them, recruiting a Project Manager who will be enthusiastic and keen to take responsibility for key elements of this exciting mixed use regeneration scheme.
The purpose of this role is to efficiently and effectively project manage all technical and delivery aspects of individual enabling works and development projects at different stages in the development life cycle.
Key aspects of the role includes:
- Due diligence work
- Survey work
- Concept design
- Cost planning and appraisals
- Stakeholder management both internally and externally
- Procurement and management of external consultant teams
- Procurement of building contractors
- Managing the project through to completion / defects / final accounts / handover
To be successful you will have a demonstrable track record gained in a similar role working for a developer, client side organisation or consultancy. You will ideally have residential delivery and / or major mixed use project management experience.
To be considered you will have a degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or surveying and ideally professionally qualified. You will have experience of managing projects from feasibility to completion working closely with Development Managers as early in the process as acquiring sites. You will ideally have experience of working with JV partners and have excellent stakeholder management. Excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to work as a team are essential.
