Project Management employment opportunity for an ambitious individual with a Chartered Building Contractor.
Chartered Building Consultancy and Contractor who complete all elements of build projects from initial design through to client handover. They work alongside principle contractors as well as taking on their own build projects and are now seeking a Project Manager to join the business on a permanent basis.
The role is offering a competitive salary up to £50,000 as well as Car / Allowance, Pension, 24 days holiday, expenses and discretionary bonus.
Your new company
Operating out of Surrey the business started off as a consultancy and expanded into contracting work and now operate across the UK (predominately South East). The business provides Architectural, Project Management and Construction services to clients on Residential and Commercial schemes from £1.5 - £5 million. At present the business are taking on a lot of Groundwork, Brickwork and Service Instillation's packages working with principle contractors providing Project Management services. They are now completing their own developments and require a Project Manager to join the team.
Your new role
As a Project Manager you will report directly into the Managing Director overseeing projects from an operational point of view within the business. The business will run multiple projects at any one time which you will take control of with support from Senior Colleagues. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Pre-planning / site programming / coordinating works
- Creating and implementing RAMS / contract documents / managing Health & Safety on site.
- Providing progress reports to all relevant parties
- Managing / working alongside principle and sub-contractors
- Chairing meeting with clients and 3rd parties - (local authorities / statutory services / contractors etc.)
- Overview of operations and operatives on site
Your working week will be split between Office and Site (60 / 40).
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a manager with a hunger and ambition to learn and develop with an expanding business. This is a long-term career prospect with future scope for reward and recognition within the organisation. You must have a formal qualification; HNC, HND, BSc in Construction or Civil related course. Previous experience in Groundwork's, Roads, Concrete and Service Instillation's is also desirable.
Continuous training and development will be provided from the Managing Director on a day to basis as well as funding for professional qualifications with Chartered Institute of Building etc. Ultimately you will be rewarded and recognised with future progression and development provided by the business.
