Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Identifying opportunities for new locations through local/regional and national agents
  • Reviewing opportunities (desktop and site visits) and matching these to business requirements providing summary reports
  • Negotiating best commercially available terms
  • Managing due diligence through acquisition process
  • Liaise with building surveyors (or other appointed specialists as necessary)
  • Liaise with solicitors and other key stakeholders
  • Produce timely and accurate reports
  • Ensure acquisitions are seamlessly brought into management systems
  • Disposal of existing properties when these become surplus to operational requirements
  • At all times seeking to maximise opportunities and limit liabilities
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills where required.
  • Carry out such other duties as directed by the Head of Property Services.

Knowledge & Capability

  • Experience within a multi site national operator/occupier or a role involving significant travel
  • Experience of negotiating acquisitions.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Problem solving and using initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Effective negotiation and skills
  • Experience of managing external contractors and suppliers
  • Familiarity with MS Office and MS project software
  • Good presentation skills

Preferable Qualifications

  • Degree level in Estate Management
  • RICS membership

The role is field based with one day a week working in their Head office in Wellingborough, Northampton

(Significant travel will be involved)
