A public sector employer in Lewisham are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Contracts Manager on an ongoing contractual basis. Your new role
As a successful candidate, you will manage term contracts effectively in accordance to agreed budgets, quality criteria and timescales. You will have the opportunity to manage support staff when needed, dependent upon the scale of the current scheme in hand. You will maintain accurate records in line with internal and external requirements. Essentially, you will ensure consultants and contractors are properly briefed, and are reporting their progress regularly in order to meet resident satisfaction.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to demonstrate experience in managing high value constructions projects. You will be able to work well both independently, and in a team within a social housing environment. You will also be comfortable with supervising staff, and dealing with a range of issues that may arise, such as construction delivery. The ability to analyse statistical information and write concise reports will be useful. Excellent communication skills are essential for the job.
