My client is looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team in the London office working on a variety of commercial projects in London and the South East.
Your new role
You will be involved from feasibility estimating through to agreement of Final Account. This would be on traditional JCT contracts (generally without quantities but with CDPs, or Design and Build Contracts). Both feasibility estimating/approximate quantities and detailed cost planning using NRM 1 and 2. Pre-contract duties including design review, value engineering, value management, production of tender documentation, tender analysis on return of contractor's proposals and production of contract documentation. Post-contract duties including monthly valuations, cost reporting, valuing variations and change, agreement of final account. Further services could include life cycle costing. Client facing, including attending specific client review meetings, design meetings, cost and procurement meetings and general project meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum five years' experience in a consultancy environment with previous experience working in the commercial sector preferable.It would be expected that any suitable candidate would have a relevant Quantity Surveying Qualification and be working towards membership / or already a member of the RICS.
