M&E Developers PM
Lodha UK have retained Macdonald & Company to source a new M&E Project Manager to join their UK office. Supporting a Senior Manager in the provision of design, delivery and commissioning for M&E services to all UK Projects. A bias to mechanical delivery and commission would be advantageous. This individual would join a highly dynamic and energetic team intent on establishing Lodha as one of the most successful developers in London.
Background to Lodha Group
Lodha UK is the UK development subsidiary of Mumbai based Lodha Group, India's largest and most prominent residential developer. Lodha Group delivers almost 7,000 homes a year in India, covering all segments of the market from super prime to mass. We are building India's first greenfield smart city, Palava, and the world's talent all-residential tower, World One. And thirty-five or so other projects in and around Mumbai. Our annual sales are in the region of £1 billion.
The UK business
Lodha decided to expand internationally in 2013 and selected London ahead of New York and Singapore. We were attracted to London by our belief in the city's strong values and continued growth, and its attractive market characteristics. We saw an opportunity to build a scale business in a highly fragmented market.
Our UK business is focused on residential development within London. We like scale projects - projects with a GDV of £250m or more - and we intend to build a substantial business here by adding one project or so roughly every 1-2 years. We started our London business by acquiring two sites in 2014, and these are the two sites that we are currently developing.
1 Grosvenor Square will provide 44 exquisite homes at what is possibly the world's finest address. Lincoln Square is a development of 200 homes in London's historic quarter between Covent Garden and the City, adjacent to the LSE. Works are well progressed on both sites, with demolition complete and development commenced. The projects between them have a GDV of £1.5 billion.
While our portfolio is currently weighted towards the prime end of the market, we have aspirations to play across price points, and we have new projects in the pipeline coming soon.
