For over 50 years this multi-disciplinary consultancy has provided design and consultation services across a broad range of construction and property areas, including building services. With a network of offices across the UK, the London office is seeking an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer, to work in a team of 4 M&E Engineers, including a Partner. Projects cover a broad range of sectors, with recent work in schools, universities, health, social housing, leisure, luxury residential, commercial, and hotels. A hands on culture where you will be given the opportunity to be noticed for the work that you do, you will work with personable colleagues, and be client facing.
Your new role
You will work on a range of projects, taking designs to detail stage. You will be capable of managing projects, and supervising junior Engineers. Working alongside other construction professionals, inside and outside the organisation, you will be able to represent the needs of the M&E team, as well as positively represent the brand in-front of clients. You will be attending site, surveying, supervising the installation mechanical systems, and creating operations procedures. You will get involved with winning new work and bidding. If you are a more established Associate Engineer then high salaries are available if you have a track record of bringing in business.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a confident and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer in building services, already working at an upper Senior/Principal or Associate level. You will have gained experience in the UK, in either a consultancy or contractor setting. You will be capable of running a project, and supporting junior Engineers in your team. You will be ambitions and enthusiastic to develop and demonstrate your worth to the organisation, and receive appropriate recognition for this. You will be confident in representing a strong brand when interacting with your clients.
