Project Manager (Major Projects) London Fire Brigade in scope of IR35.
Your new company
You will be joining London's fire and rescue service - the busiest in the country and one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world. With a vision of be a world class fire and rescue service for London, Londoners and visitors will always respond to fires and other emergencies but work has changed over the years, now with a much stronger emphasis on fire prevention and community safety.
Your new role
Your main focus of your works will be the major capital projects, which include new training offices and stations. In addition you will be required to set up and manage teams internally and mange external consultants to deliver the project. You will be expected to project manage major refurbishments, extension and new build projects with a typical construction value of £0.5 to £15 million. You will be required to manage and set up project briefs in consultation with other stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
Successful candidates for this role will be able to demonstrate that they have project managed similar sized projects in previous roles that they have held. Experience that is based in the public sector sector is preferable, however relevant experience of major project management from the private sector is acceptable. You will need to have achieved your RICS qualification, or be working towards achieving membership. You should also have an accredited project manager qualification.
What you'll get in return
You will receive an hourly pay rate of £23.93 per hour PAYE or £30.76 per hour by Umbrella pay. This role is in scope of IR 35.
