Discover exciting challenges and rewarding career opportunities in a senior commercial role at Transport for London. As a Senior Commercial Manager, you draw on your experience while finding new ways to encourage team collaboration, inspire innovative commercial solutions, and improve our cost performance.

Our Work

Our goal is to keep London working, growing and to make life in London better. As one of the world’s largest and most integrated transport authorities, we must deliver a transport system that secures London’s position as a world-leading city. Our services must ensure that those who live and work in London can access all the Capital has to offer.

Our Challenge

London is currently the fastest growing capital city in Europe and today it is home to [8.6 million] people with the population expected to reach [10 million] by 2030. Our multi-billion pound capital investment programme involves some of the most complex and challenging projects in the world.  It involves introducing world leading technology, constructing bigger and better facilities and increasing the capacity of our underground, rail and road networks whilst minimising disruption to their operation.  Our projects are critical to supporting the continued growth and regeneration of London but value for money needs to be at the core of their delivery.

As part of our Commercial team, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing pan TfL procurement strategies across a variety of categories including professional services, Information Technology, rail operations and infrastructure.
  • Building long term relationships with suppliers and subcontractors with the aim of delivering best value for money
  • Engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders across TfL
  • Managing a team of commercial managers

We value the benefits diversity brings and aspire to be as diverse as the City we serve; we look forward to welcoming authentic leaders representing all sections of London’s diverse community
