Support worker needed in Bristol for a temporary contract providing support to vulnerable people
Your new company
You will be joining a specialist support provider helping homeless service users towards independence. You will be joining an organisation who enables and support vulnerable people within the community.
Your new role
As a support worker you will be working on a full time basis Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. As a support worker you will provide a high quality support service to residents (single adults and families) to sustain residencies and move on to independent living. As a support worker you will work directly with clients within central Bristol and the community, to address barriers towards independent living including mental health, substance abuse, financial capability, life and tenancy skills, rent arrears and debt management as well as offenders reentering society.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful support worker recent working knowledge with homeless service users or vulnerable clients is essential. You must be able to communicate clearly and support service users toward independence. As a support worker it is essential you are a car user and have a full driving license. As you are working with vulnerable people an enhanced DBS is essential or the documents to produce a DBS on your behalf will needed.
