Building Surveyor

Leeds Beckett University continues to be one of the UK’s largest universities, in one of the UK’s more popular student cities. We are proud of our award winning estate and two impressive campuses, one in Leeds city centre and the other in Beckett Park, Headingley.

The Estates Services department are seeking to make the key appointment of a Building Surveyor to manage the design and delivery of capital improvement and remedial works, across the University’s major capital programme.  You will play an active role in the identification, and evaluation of projects in future programmes, and assisting in the development of design standards, systems and processes.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of managing building maintenance and development projects, and the supervision and management of maintenance teams and contractors.  You will also be wholly adept at carrying out surveys and producing reports and recommendations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as you will work with a diverse range of stakeholders both within and outside of the University.

To arrange a confidential discussion and/or to request the full briefing particulars, please contact our retained advisor, David Craven (david.craven@mrgpeople.co.uk) of The Management Recruitment Group via email or on 0161 638 0936.

Closing date for applications is Sunday 9th July.

Interviews are scheduled for the week commencing 31st July.
