Dorset based Civil & Groundwork's Contractor looking for Contract Manager to join the business.
Opportunity available for a Contract Manager with a local and established civil groundworks contractor. Based in Dorset the client take on projects across Hampshire & Dorset working with leading local contractors within the commercial and residential sectors. The role is paying circa £50,000 + package.
Your new company
Having established themselves across Dorset this business have built up a strong portfolio of clients based on the successful delivery of projects and quality work they have produced. They take on projects up to £1.5 million, running around 30 project across the business at any one time. They have a steady annual turnover and now have the infrastructure to achieve predicted growth over the next 1-3 years. It is due to this growth that they now require an additional Contracts Manager to join the business on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Within the company the current senior team consists of 2 x Contracts Managers and 3 x Q.S's as well as an Estimator, Buyer and Directors. Because of a continual increase in work the business has decided that they require a 3rd Contracts Manager to join in a senior capacity. You will oversee around 6/7 projects working closely with the operational & commercial teams. Within the role your main responsibilities will include the management of relevant site based team, drawings, programming, procurement of labour & materials, liaising and dealing with clients.
What you'll need to succeed
Contracts Management experience on similar groundworks / civil projects is needed as you will need to be competent in the role. Residential and Main contracting experience would also be considered as long as element of groundworks have been completed as part of the role. Ideally you will have experience working on projects at a similar value. You must have a professional and pro-active work ethic in both managing site based teams and working alongside clients. Qualified within construction or civil engineering and conversant in the use of excel & work documentations.
