Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Are you looking for the next challenge, to drive your career forward? Do you enjoy delivering value for money solutions and cost planning?

Civic Design + Build need an assistant quantity surveyor to work within their expanding construction company to estimate, control and report on the project costs within the business. Our projected turnover for 2017-18 is circa £3 million with nine live projects currently and an on-going expanding turnover within the larger domestic extension market; projects range from £75k to £500k.

Civic are also expanding into speculative residential development with four schemes at various stages in the planning process. Last year we won the "Property Investors Awards" for Deal of the Year and we were recently featured in "Property Investors News".

There is a rich opportunity to be involved in a well-established and dynamic business. You will be substantially involved in the full project process and have the opportunity to influence systems used to control project finances from feasibility to final account. There is a realistic prospect to grow within the business and effect successful outcomes.

The successful candidate will be supported in current and further studies as required by the role.  An ONC in Building Studies (or equivalent) is essential; an HNC (or equivalent) is preferred.  You will have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably gained in the residential sector.

At Civic Design + Build, we know from 20 years of experience that the quality of the relationship influences the quality of the outcome. All of our specialists and craftsmen have worked with us for a decade or more and their painstaking attention to detail needs to be supported by yours.
