Gleeds is a global multi-disciplinary consultancy specialising in the Construction and Property industries.
We are looking to appoint a Director in each of the following locations, to be responsible for developing and managing the dispute advisory services:
- Manchester
- Leeds
- Dubai
The work is primarily, but not exclusively, focused on the delivery of ‘Planning & Programming’ and ‘Quantum’ expert witness services involving forensic analysis in relation to both project performance and professional negligence claims.
The person appointed will be a specialist in one of the services and coordinate the delivery of the other. Candidates will be degree qualified and members, or fellows, of the CIOIOB, RICS S or equivalent, and have 15 plus years experience in the industry.
Experience as the ‘named’ expert witness and in giving evidence under cross-examination is essential. Candidates must be able to command the immediate respect and confidence of senior industry individuals as well as prominent solicitors and barristers. This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced expert to develop his/her reputation, as well as that of Gleeds.
These roles will involve:
- Marketing and sourcing work from solicitors, barristers and others
- Working collaboratively with other Gleeds offices
- Delivering at a profit and to meet or exceed client expectations
- Managing the risks
- Recruiting, managing training and leading the staff
- Liaising centrally on all marketing initiatives
- Representing Gleeds and the Gleeds name in all matters
- Cross-referring other Gleeds services
- Writing Newsletters / offering seminars
- Keeping abreast of innovations in the expert witness arena
