The Graves Partnership LLP is a Chartered Quantity Surveying and Project Management practice, operating primarily in the UK property sector, providing a wide range of services for developments of all types and sizes in Residential, Healthcare, Education, Leisure, Retail, Civic Buildings, Urban Regeneration, Industrial and Logistics, Mixed-use developments and Offices. Our headquarters are in Birmingham with a London based office which has been steadily developed during the last 3 years to enable regional growth. A Senior Quantity Surveyor, who will report to a Partner in the London office, is required to provide project delivery services for an expanding workload.
They will be working across projects throughout London and the south east from inception to completion, with typical values between £0.5M to £15M.
Main Duties and responsibilities would consist of a full range of pre-construction duties to include feasibility studies, cost plans, tender production and reporting together with Contractor appointment. Plus, construction phase duties including valuations, cost reports and final accounts; contract administration, Capital allowance calculations, together with maintaining a close working relationship with client and design team.
You should have:
- Good people skills and team co-ordination abilities
- The ability to work without close supervision, clearly and frequently communicating progress
- Strong written and oral communicator
- Strong commercial acumen
- Membership of RICS with 5 years PQE
- Experience of performing Project Management and Employer’s Agent roles and have appropriate Business development skills With essential personal specifications:
- Sound working knowledge of commercial building construction and services engineering
- Working knowledge of contract and property law
- Working knowledge of construction costs, procurement options and administering standard forms of contract
- IT literate
The salary offered will be appropriate to qualifications and experience and negotiable accordingly.
